    Meet Our Founders and Cloud Computing Experts

    Kris Bliesner
    Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

    Kris Bliesner is CEO and Co-Founder of 2nd Watch, Inc. In his position, Kris is responsible for the company’s growth and sustainability. Kris oversees strategic development of 2nd Watch’s cloud based software solutions, the technology development and customer technology solutions, the technology group, and the technology trends for the company.

    Prior to co-founding 2nd Watch in 2010, Kris has held many top IT positions with such companies as Microsoft and Ambassadors Group, Inc. As the CIO for Ambassadors Group, Inc. (EPAX), Kris spearheaded a 360 degree turnaround in IT infrastructure including massive legacy software replacement, a tier 1 ERP platform and a business first CRM implementation. As part of the core executive team he helped drive strategic partnerships and was part of the mergers and acquisition team.

    While at Microsoft, Kris was the Director of the Sales, Marketing and Services Infrastructure group. He managed content and communications tools for Microsoft’s 60,000+ global Sales, Marketing and Services workforce.

    During his tenure at Microsoft Kris received several awards and accolades including two divisional “Field Productivity” awards and a Circle of Excellence award (top 1% of Microsoft).

    In addition, Kris owned his own consulting business, specializing in system architecture, database design and software development. His clients included Onyx Software, Ascent Partners, National Flood Services and Microsoft Corporation.

    Jeff Aden
    President and Co-Founder

    Jeff Aden is the President and Co-Founder of 2nd Watch, Inc. Jeff is responsible for 2nd Watch’s new business development strategies and the day-to-day operations. In his position, Jeff oversees the on-boarding of 2nd Watch’s clients and delivery of all services throughout the lifetime of the client.

    Prior to co-founding 2nd Watch in 2010, Jeff was a Senior Director at Ambassadors Group, Inc. (EPAX). In his role, Jeff was responsible for all sales, marketing and operations for the $165 million Student Ambassador product line. He was instrumental in leading Ambassadors to profitable growth and customer acquisition for five years.

    In addition, Jeff has held senior level positions in sales and management. Jeff also worked as an independent consultant in Asia.

    Jeff holds a Master of International Management degree and a B.A. from Whitworth University.

    Brett Turner 

    Chief Financial Officer & Co-Founder

    As CFO and Co-Founder of 2nd Watch Brett Turner spearheads fundraising and corporate strategy and development while supporting the company’s accelerating growth.

    Brett is an experienced executive with 18 years in public and private high-growth technology companies. Brett has developed a strong aptitude for corporate strategy and development along with a track record for building and growing startup companies within Energy (Demand Energy), Telecom (World Wide Packets), and Cloud Computing (2nd Watch).

    Most recently he was a Co-founder and COO/CFO of Demand Energy, a pioneer and leader in distributed energy storage systems. Demand Energy is the first company in the world to deploy and manage a utility-grade, end-to-end solution for commercial end-use customers that stores and generates electricity at megawatt scale. It’s systems in NYC and Tianjin, China are controlled and managed by its software platform that resides in the cloud using AWS, an industry first for distributed generation infrastructure. Brett led the company from inception through product design and commercialization to early market adoption with customers while raising $20M of equity, debt, and grant funding.

    Prior to Demand Energy, Brett was VP of Finance at World Wide Packets (WWP), a layer-2, point-to-point Ethernet switch vendor to AT&T, Comcast, CenturyLink, and Clearwire where he was responsible for raising over $60M in equity and debt financing. He was a key contributor to the company’s $500M AT&T account win and M&A effort with Goldman Sachs. Brett understands the organizational requirements to support rapid scale as his team successfully supported revenue growth from $13M to $35M in the 12 months leading up to the sale of the company for over $300M to Ciena in March 2008.

    Prior to WWP, he served at Amazon.com, Teledesic, and theglobe.com. Brett received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Seattle Pacific University and began his career as a CPA with Deloitte.

    Jesse L. Nelson, CPA
    Vice President, Finance

    As Vice President, Finance at 2nd Watch, Inc.,  Jesse is responsible for the statutory accounting, financial planning and reporting requirements of the organization, including establishing and overseeing the company’s accounting protocols, ensuring that the company’s financial portfolio and its employees are following standards, legal accounting rules, and acting as a leader within the company’s executive framework.  In addition, Jesse is responsible for establishing and managing the business operations for optimizing the financial return of the cloud platforms used by 2nd Watch.

    Jesse is a financial leader with highly developed management, strategic, and analytical skills.  Prior to joining 2nd Watch, Jesse has been involved as a co-founder in successful startup companies.  In addition, he has held Senior Management positions with public companies including roles as the Director of Finance and Strategic Planning, General Manager for International Sales & Operations and public accounting experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

    Jesse holds a BS in Finance and Accounting, as a graduate of Concordia University, Portland, Oregon and is certified as a CPA in the State of Oregon.

    Jason Foster
    Vice President, Engineering

    As the Vice President of Engineering at 2nd Watch, Inc. Jason is responsible for service delivery and technology solutions architecture. Additionally, he manages the Cloud Architect and Cloud Engineering team. Through solutions development and engineering Jason helps position 2nd Watch solutions and services offerings to align with the company’s corporate direction and maximize the value proposition to our customers.

    Jason’s unique background combining both technical leadership and systems engineering expertise comes from holding several high-level IT and Infrastructure Management positions with enterprise companies such as Continental Airlines and Microsoft Corporation. As the former IT Director Jason’s responsibilities centered around systems engineering and architecture.

    While at People To People Jason designed and implemented the Data Management Plan to drive down the technology cost-to-acquire and cost-to-operate for server and storage technologies by adopting a Capacity Planning demand model. In addition, he transformed server and storage solutions into a service delivery model and built the plan to transition these services into the cloud.

    Jason is currently a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
